About this trip

Rhodes has the highest concentration of family all-inclusive hotels in Greece, on the sheltered east coast, and one of the best-preserved medieval walled cities in Europe twenty minutes up the road. That combination makes it the resort week that still has something to see, without needing a car.

All ages7 daysRelaxed paceNo car neededMid-range

Why the route is built this way

  • One hotel for the week, on the calm side of the island.
  • The old town and Lindos are both reachable by public bus, so no car is needed.
  • The water park is a short bus ride, which gives the week a second big day out.
  • Sightseeing is limited to two half-days, deliberately.

Who this trip is not for

Families who want to explore. Rhodes rewards a car if you intend to reach the southern beaches, and this route does not use one.

Common questions

Is Rhodes good for toddlers?
The east-coast beaches are sheltered, sandy and gradually shelving, and the resort strip is built around families. The old town's cobbles and Lindos's steps are the awkward parts with a pushchair.
