Affiliate disclosure

How Roamgrove makes money: which links are affiliate links, which partners we use, and why commission never affects what we recommend.

The short version

Roamgrove earns affiliate commission. When you book a hotel, a rental car, an attraction ticket, a rail pass or an eSIM through a link on this site, you pay exactly the same price as you would going direct, and the provider pays us a percentage. That is how the research is funded.

How we keep it honest

  • The recommendation and the link are decided separately. We choose what to recommend first — which area, which attraction, whether a car is needed at all — and only then attach a link to whichever partner covers it. Commission rates play no part in ranking, ordering or inclusion.
  • Nobody can buy a place. No hotel, operator or tourist board can pay to appear in a guide, to rank higher, or to have a drawback removed. We do not sell sponsored placements.
  • We recommend against spending money where that is the right answer. Several guides here say a rental car is unnecessary, that a rail pass will not pay for itself, or that an attraction is not worth the ticket price for a family. Each of those costs us commission, and each is the correct advice.
  • Every affiliate link is labelled. Outbound commercial links carry rel="sponsored", open in a new tab, and sit on pages that show a disclosure.

What we do not do

No display advertising. No pop-ups or interstitials. No data broking — we do not sell or share visitor data. No paid reviews. No sponsored itineraries. No newsletter funnel designed to sell you a product.

Analytics

We record which affiliate links are clicked, in aggregate, so we know which parts of the catalog are useful and which trips to research next. That is measurement of our own pages, not tracking of you across the web. The privacy page has the detail.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think a recommendation looks commercially motivated, say so: support@yalintech.com. It is a fair question and we would rather answer it than have you wonder.
